We’ve gathered answers to common questions and important rental policies to make your booking and vacation experience as smooth as possible. Please review the information below to ensure you’re fully prepared for your stay, including payment details, guest responsibilities, and guidelines specific to our Myrtle Beach vacation homes.
Who is C Crest Property Management?
- C Crest Property Management, LLC is based in Myrtle Beach, SC, and represents homeowners who rent their vacation homes. Most properties are located in Ocean Lakes Family Campground, with one home available in the Shore Drive area. For a complete list of available rentals, visit our Properties page. How old do I have to be to book a home?
- You must be 25 years of age or older and must send a copy of your driver's license when booking. The person who books the home is the responsible party for all of the guests in the home.
Can we reserve and arrive same day?
- Absolutely! You are welcome to reserve and arrive on the same day, BUT no reservations for same day arrival will be taken after 12 p.m. EST.
How do I book a home?
- To book a home, enter your dates and number of guests in the form next to the listing's picture, then click "send inquiry." After submitting, you'll receive an email with a quote and a booking link. You are under no obligation to book—the quote will expire after a few days. If it expires, you’ll need to request a new one.
How does the payment process work?
- All bookings are processed through our website. A 50% deposit is required at booking, and the balance is due 30 days before arrival. Payments are processed using your credit or debit card, with email confirmations for each transaction. A $500 security deposit hold will be placed on your card 2-3 days before arrival and released after a departure inspection, usually within 2-3 days.
When will I receive check-in information?
- Two days before your arrival (or upon booking if arriving within two days), you’ll receive an email with check-in details, including express parking (if applicable) and other important information.
What are check-in and check-out times?
- Check-in is at 4 p.m., and check-out is at 9:30 a.m. Please avoid late departures to ensure you don’t lose your security deposit.
Are linens provided?
- Yes, all rentals include bed and bath linens. This includes sheets for each bed, bath towels (two sets per guest), bath mats, makeup towels, and kitchen sets. Paper goods, beach towels, and beach chairs are not provided unless specified in the home’s description.
What amenities do I have access to?
- Rentals at Ocean Lakes Family Campground include access to the water park, pools, and sports courts. Be sure to check the Ocean Lakes activities calendar for seasonal events, some of which may have associated fees. If you are staying at A Place at the Beach V, you will have access to pools as well.
Is WiFi included?
- Yes, WiFi is included with your stay, so you can stay connected during your vacation. Please note that the internet provider is Spectrum, and occasional outages may occur due to construction or storms. While these situations are beyond our control, we will do our best to keep you informed, though no compensation is provided for service interruptions.
What are my responsibilities as a guest?
- Treat the rental as your own—no smoking or vaping inside or near doorways/windows.
- Dispose of household trash in the designated bins.
- Follow all rules set by the homeowner, C Crest Property Management, and the community where your rental is located. Violating rules can result in eviction and loss of your security deposit. You are responsible for your guests and any damages or fines incurred.
- Before check-out, ensure all trash is disposed of, food items are removed, and countertops are wiped down. No dishes should be left in the sink or dishwasher. If you leave something behind, it may take up to 7 days to return, with postage fees deducted from your security deposit.
What if I have to cancel the reservation?
- Things happen, there are 2 options. There is travel insurance available during the booking process. This insurance is offered by an independent agency that C Crest Property Management has no affiliation with, and we are only notified that someone purchased the policy. If there is a need to use the insurance, you will contact the provider directly - C Crest is not responsible or liable for any thing associated with these transactions. The second option is to attempt to reschedule your trip. We will do all we can to assist with this but guarantees for your new dates are not an option. Do know that if you want to consider rescheduling, you must do so by the end of the calendar year. Finally, if neither option is suitable you can cancel. If a reservation is canceled at least 30 days prior to your arrival date, we will refund 85% and retain 15% of the Gross Rental Fee plus a $150.00 Administration Fee. If reservations are cancelled less than 30 days prior to the arrival date, you refuse the rental property or do not show up; owner will retain the entire amount paid. **There is a 100% refund IF Ocean Lakes is forced to close the park due to weather, damages, or other emergency.**
What should I know about the golf cart?
- If your Ocean Lakes rental includes a complimentary golf cart, please keep it clean and charged throughout your stay. Follow all Ocean Lakes rules to avoid violations, which may result in eviction, loss of your remaining stay, and loss of your security deposit. If you own a cart that you would like to bring, you will have to register it with Ocean Lakes Golf Cars upon check-in. Please visit Ocean Lakes Golf Cars on line to see the documentation that they will require.
What if something needs repair during my stay?
- If a repair is necessary, a contractor will only enter your rental if someone from your party is present. We will make every effort to minimize any inconvenience and keep you informed throughout the process.
Is there any ongoing construction?
- Ocean Lakes Family Campground and A Place at the Beach V (Shore Drive) are always improving their amenities. While construction near your rental may happen, it is beyond our control, and no refunds will be provided. Crews typically work within set hours to avoid early morning or late evening disturbances.
Do the same rules apply to Shore Drive property?
- Yes, if you are staying at Pelican's Roost (Shore Drive area), similar rules apply. Please adhere to the HOA policies for A Place at the Beach V, which are clearly posted throughout the property.
What are the rules for departing the rental?
- Return all keys to the lockbox and car passes (if applicable) to the kitchen counter before departing.
- Dispose of all trash in the designated containers and remove all food items.
- Wipe down countertops and ensure no dishes are left in the sink or dishwasher.
- Double-check that you’ve packed all personal belongings.
